Dorothy Lou Nichols

NICHOLS, Mrs. Dorothy Lou Horn, 80, a resident of Luverne died Saturday, March 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Providence Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Horn officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Nichols is preceded in death by her husband, A.J. “ Nic “ Nichols; her parents, B.E. and Maudie Holliday Horn; and two brothers, Joe Ed Horn and Hannis Horn. Survivors include three children, Mary Lou (Keith) Linton, Christina (Ronnie) Kelley, and Adam J. (Celeste) Nichols; four grandchildren, Daniel (Monica) Linton, Nikki (Joey) Stallings, Paige (Cruise) Sowell, and Lane (Kelsey) Kelley; seven great grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Kadee, Laney, Peyton, Lydia, and Bryson; and a special friend and caregiver, Vickie Wolfe. Active pallbearers will be Keith Linton, Ronnie Kelley, Daniel Linton, Lane Kelley, Joey Stallings, and Cruise Sowell. Great grandsons will service as honorary pallbearers. Family and friends will meet at the gravesite on Monday at the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to Hospice Advantage Angels of Troy, AL.
