Earnest Jackson "Jackie" Godwin

GODWIN, Mr. Earnest Jackson “Jackie,” 60, a resident of Glenwood, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. A graveside service for Mr. Godwin will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, March 16, in Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Danny Lewis officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Jackson Godwin, sister, Joanne McCarthy, and brother, Kenneth Godwin. He is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline Walker and Nikki Godwin, six grandchildren, two sisters, Jeanette Williams and Connie (John) Wood, brother, Ollie (Marilyn) Godwin, and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Kenny Godwin, Joey Godwin, Ollie Godwin, Ron McGough, Jason Powell, and Mark Morgan. Cody Powell will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 - 1:30pm.
