Mrs. Edna Ruth Beasley Horne, 80, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, November 8, 2020. A graveside service for Mrs. Horne will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 11th, in Danielville Cemetery with John Dickinson officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mrs. Horne had a deep, abiding love for her family and friends. She cherished every single one of them and the time she was able to spend with them. She was also a devoted member of the Rock Hill Church of Christ, and treasured her church family there. She personified the gentleness and generosity of spirit that all Christians should exhibit to the world. She knew no hatred, but believed in the power of love and kindness shown to everyone. Above all, she was a precious and dearly-loved mother & grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, but they are comforted in the knowledge that she is now safe in the arms of her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Horne; parents, Guy & Ida Mae Broadway Beasley; and three siblings, Thomas Beasley, Guynese Eiland, and Betty Ann Clark. She is survived by her four beloved children, Donald (Lee) Nichols, Ronnie Nichols, JoAnn (Paul) Allen, and Donnie (Ginger) Nichols; eight grandchildren, Angela Newbrough, Heather Wright, Andrew Nichols, Jana Shelton, Paige Kersey, Jacob Free, Gracie Free, and Savannah Nichols; and two sisters, Annette Chandler and Sally (Paul) Creel.
