Mrs. Edna Ruth Norsworthy, 91, a resident of Goshen, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation on Monday, May 25, 2020.
Mrs. Norsworthy was a beloved fixture in her community. She was the definition of an outgoing, extroverted person, and able to make everyone feel welcomed. She was a faithful member of South Luverne Baptist Church, where she was often involved in supporting mission work and projects. She was also the top fundraiser in support of the Crenshaw County Relay for Life for over 15 years. Her charity work also included helping to clean up the roadways around the county.
In her golden years, she managed the assisted living apartment complex at Meadowcrest where she was a blessing to so many of her residents. She was also a member of the famed “Lunch Bunch” as a member of the Luverne High School Class of 1947. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness and empathy for others will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
