Edsel Jerome Mauldin

MAULDIN, Mr. Edsel Jerome, 69, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. A memorial service for Mr. Mauldin will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, October 8, from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Horn officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Mauldin was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Mauldin, mother, Alice Creamer Brannon, two sisters, Nancy Danley and Sally Carl and brother, Gerald Mauldin. He is survived by his wife, Betty Defee Mauldin, son, Michael Mauldin, three stepchildren, Paul Smith, Donna Barton, and Conrad Smith, seven grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Ann Sawyer and Sarah Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 – 2pm.
