Elizabeth Ann Browning Sanders, 60, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham on Monday, August 12th, 2024. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Elizabeth was a woman who knew her own mind and lived her life on her own terms. She was strong-willed and capable of doing whatever she set her mind to do, but she was also generous and personable with everyone she met. Her feisty spirit endeared her to so many she came in contact with and will be remembered by all of them fondly. In her free time, she thoroughly enjoyed her various collections and spending time with her beloved canine companion, Trixie. She was happiest, usually, enjoying multiple cups of coffee in the comforting confines of her own home. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She loved being "Nana" to her grandchildren as well. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, but they are grateful that her suffering has ended.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sanders, and her parents, Robert & Betty Jean Owens Browning. She is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Jonathon & Cheyenne Browning; grandchildren, Aaden Browning, Isabella Mount, Piper Browning, Aria Browning, and Ensley Browning; siblings, Johnny (Kathy) Elrod and Martha (Tim) Adams; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
