Elzora Faulk Stephens

Mrs. Elzora Faulk Stephens, 85, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Luverne Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral services for Mrs. Stephens will be held at 11 AM on Friday, May 10, at County Line Church of Christ with Brother Dennis Sanders and Brother Jerry Barlow officiating. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne.

Mrs. Stephens, who was more commonly known as Mother or Grandmomma, was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devout member of County Line Church of Christ for nearly 60 years. She was a dedicated Christian who loved her Lord above all else. She and her husband, Grady, owned and operated their own country store for 30 years and grew to be pillars of their community. She was deeply loved by all who knew her, and will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.

Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Grady Stephens; her parents, Otis Sr and Cora Mae Faulk; and her brother, Otis Faulk Jr. She is survived by her three sons, Kenneth (Ann) Stephens, Calvin (Michelle) Stephens, and Keith Stephens; nine grandchildren, Kenneth Stephens Jr, Alex Stephens, Rebecca Stephens, Rachelle Stephens, Chris Stephens, Brett Stephens, Camden Stephens (Justin) Reeves, Summer, and Walker Stephens; five great-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings, Margaret Penn, Hazel Stephens, Marilyn (Ollie) Godwin, Charles W. (Faye) Faulk, and Eddie (Peggy) Faulk; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Stephens Jr, Alex Stephens, Danny Stephens, Donnie Stephens, Joey Godwin, and Ollie Godwin. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10 - 11 AM.
