Ernestine Tillery Jackson

JACKSON, Mrs. Ernestine Tillery, 87, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 2 PM on Monday, March 19, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Horn and Brother Timothy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Lucian H. “Jack” Jackson, son, Thomas Shirley, grandson, Tony Miller, parents, Rube and Cora Duke Tillery, and four brothers, Sport Tillery, Norman Tillery, J.E. Tillery, Ernest Tillery. She is survived by her four children, William (Judy) Shirley, Sherry (John) Debusky, Debra Jackson Weir, and Barbara McCraken, eight grandchildren, Jeff (Melissa) Shirley, Shannon (Rick) Elam, Alicia Bentley, Shawn Heidekreger, Leslie (Brian) Caldwell, Sharon (Michael) Compton, Ricky (Jessie) Weir, and Summer (Mike) Oliver, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and sister-in-law, Ann Tillery. Active pallbearers will be Brian Caldwell, Jeff Shirley, Mark Tillery, Michael Compton, Brandon Horn, and Hunter Bentley. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1 - 2pm.
