Eva Earline Peterson

December 27, 1931 — February 1, 2022

Lapine

Mrs. Earline Owens Peterson, 90, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 1st, 2022.

Mrs. Peterson was a faithful member of Highland Home Baptist Church, where she loved praising her Lord while in fellowship with her church family. She was the epitome of a good, Christian woman. She was kind-hearted and dedicated to always going out of her way to help others in need. In her free time, she loved crocheting and cooking fantastic Southern meals for the people she loved. She was also an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers Football Team, and loved to cheer them on every Saturday in the Fall. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who cherished her family as more precious than all the gold and jewels in the world. She will be sorely missed, but she leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will carry her memory on for as long as she is remembered by those she has left behind.

Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Peterson; son, Robert H. Peterson; grandson, Cody F. Peterson; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh G. Heartsill; parents, Earnel & Erma Sexton Owens; and siblings Ensley Owens, Earl Owens, Elvin Owens, Era Merle Williams, and Earnestine Owens.

She is survived by her loving children, Jerry (Martha) Peterson, Vickie (Bob) Heartsill, Tim (Loretta) Peterson, and Selina (Rex) Stokes; grandchildren, Robbi Peterson, Dana Evens, Kathy Lovell, Sybil Johnson, Rhianna Yearby, Ashlie Bloodworth, Josh Heartsill, Samantha Peterson, Matthew Peterson, and Javarius Means; twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Martha Defee, Dean Brown, and Melba Keene.

At Mrs. Peterson's request, there will be no memorial service, but her family asks for you to remember her fondly and keep them in your prayers.
