Evelyn Kathleen Burgans

BURGANS, Mrs. Evelyn Kathleen, 72, a resident of Rutledge died Friday November 12, 2010. Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, November 14, 2010 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. William Leverette, Rev. Jerry Hogwood and Rev. Kenny Horn officiating. Interment will follow in Ivy Creek Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Burgans was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Burgans; parents, Eugene and Ina Powell; three sisters, Eunice Reynolds, Myrtise Taylor and Hazel Gregory; and five brothers, Byron, Richard, Bill, Emmett and Sherrill Powell. Survivors include three children, Robert (Ida ) Burgans, James Burgans and Renee (Robert) Duncan; three grandchildren, Robby (Miranda) Burgans, Herman (Flora) Caplinger and Christina Jordan; five great grandchildren, Hannah Burgans, Brandon Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Allen Caplinger and Justin Caplinger; three great great grandchildren, Kiley and Kaley Jordan and Cassidy Caplinger; sister, Frances Faulk Black; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:30 pm until service time.
