Evelyn Welch Mccartha

MCCARTHA, Mrs. Evelyn Welch, 95, a resident of Coosada and formerly of Luverne died Thursday February 17, 2011. Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Centenary Assembly of God Church with Rev. Robert Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. McCartha is preceded in death by her husbands, Charley L. Welch and Leon McCartha; her parents, John Calvin and Susie Wood Talley; a sister, Allene Pollard; and a brother, J. C. Talley. Survivors include three children, Betty Paige, Charles Welch and Jimmy Welch; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Wright. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 1 pm until service time.
