Faye Owens Brown, 77, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, while surrounded by her family. According to her wishes, there will be no memorial service.
Faye was one of the most loving and easygoing people you could ever spend time with. She was blessed with a friendly and outgoing personality so she got along with everyone. That being said, never mistake that for her being a pushover. She was definitely as strong-willed as they come and set in her ways. You'd be wise to listen to her advice as well because Faye was nothing if not quick-witted and smart as a whip. And, if you ever needed a buddy to go try your luck at the casinos with, she was most definitely your girl!
Above all, Faye was a devoted wife, mother, and Nanny to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Now, she loved her children with all of her heart, but there was no one she was more proud of in this world than those grandbabies she helped lovingly raise. They were truly her heart and soul and don't you know they all thrived under her love and support throughout their lives. One of her favorite activities was always hosting her family for holidays and other get-togethers. They loved those too, not just for the time spent together but really for all the phenomenal Southern staples that came out of Faye's kitchen. Her red velvet cake, banana pudding, and sweet potato pie were always particular favorites with her loved ones. Whether she knew it or not, Faye was the heart and soul of the family she cherished above all the riches on this earth and she will live on in their hearts and minds for many more years to come.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Early & Mary Hall Owens, and brothers, Jimmy Owens, Benny Owens, and Baby Boy Owens. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 57 years, Richard H. Brown; their children, Jennifer B. Carmichael and Richard J. Brown; grandchildren, Savannah (Michael) Stone, Stephanie (Ryan) Piggott, Tyler Carmichael, Austin (Gabriella) Brown, and Dillon (Alexis) Brown; great-grandchildren, Adrienne Terrell, Kinsley Stone, Oliver Piggott, Avery Piggott, Eli Brown, Levi Brown, Lilly Allman, Stetson Brown, and Kimberlynn Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
