Mrs. Faye Hudson Canterbury, 77, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Baptist Medical Center East on Monday, September 12th, 2022. Funeral services for Mrs. Canterbury will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, September 14th, at Danielville Baptist Church with Brother Clay Crum and Rev. Jim Looney officiating. Interment will follow in Danielville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Canterbury was a proud graduate of Highland Home High School and furthered her education by attending Massey Draughton Business College in Montgomery. She was also a dedicated and valued employee at Sunday Dinner where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 40 years before her retirement. In her free time, she truly enjoyed exploring her creative side through various arts and crafts. She not only crocheted, but also created her own Christmas ornaments to decorate her trees and yards. She took special pride in caring for her yard, or making her boys take care of it the way she wanted it! Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and knew the importance of making quality time with each of them. She loved them fiercely and they will all miss her terribly, but they will find comfort in the cherished memories they built over a lifetime.
Mrs. Canterbury was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Canterbury; parents, Ferman & Mildred "Bill" Owens Hudson; brother, Earnest Hudson; and sister-in-law, Joan Hudson. She is survived by her beloved sons, Travis Canterbury and Michael Canterbury; granddaughter, Shelli Dean; great-grandchildren, Grace Dean & Eli Dean; sisters, Louise Vaughn & Peggy (O'Neil) Moore; and several nieces & nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Adam Dantzler, Andrew Dantzler, Michael Dantzler, Clarence Hudson, Jacob Crum, and Kent McCullough.
