Obituary

Faye Lowe Faulk, 79, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, while surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Faye will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 30th, at Salem Church of Christ with Brother Clay Crum officiating. Interment will follow in the cemetery there with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Faye was the epitome of the classic, classy, and maybe a little sassy Southern woman. She was certainly filled with more than enough energy to keep a small city powered. Seriously, energetic is just an understatement for her because she never stopped moving. She loved nothing more than to be on the go, especially if it involved heading to their place in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Even at home, Faye was never one to simply sit still. She'd rather cook, clean, tend to her yard, or literally do anything that kept her busy. She especially loved to cook and had a large collection family recipes that she passed down to her daughters...and, trust me, there are state secrets easier to uncover than Faye's mama's banana pudding recipe!! Oh, and never doubt that, when Faye showed up, she was going to always look her best. Her clothes, makeup, hair, and nails were always put together and on point. And, no surprise for a woman who loved Elvis, the more shimmer and sparkle, the better! More importantly though, Faye was endlessly kind, caring, and generous with everyone, whether family, friend, or stranger. She had a singular strength of will but, unlike most of us, she was wise enough to know how & when to pick her battles.

Family was the center of Faye's world. She was a devoted wife, mother, and "Maw Maw" to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who owned her heart from birth. No event was ever too small to ensure Faye's presence. Come hell or high water, she was going to attend every ballgame, gymnastics meet, beauty pageant, graduation, awards ceremony, or tryout her babies participated in. And there is no doubt that her family absolutely thrived in the light and support of her love over the years. There was never any doubt that she would be there cheering you on in life or being that shoulder you desperately needed to lean on when things got hard. And those grandbabies knew all they had to do when they were in need was to call and Maw Maw was gonna be on her way to save the day.

Faye was a natural born leader and organizer, skills that explain how she worked her way up from a seamstress to plant manager at the Russell Corporation textile factory where she worked. But it was in family events where Faye's organizing skills really shined. Family events happened because Faye was always the one to make them happen, including every birthday, holiday, and vacation...because it wasn't a real family vacation unless the entire family could go. She as truly a natural born caretaker who unfailingly looked after everyone and everything. And her family truly cherishes the strong family connections and bonds that formed due to Faye's dedication to reinforcing those for so many years. And that is quite the remarkable legacy to leave behind and one that her family will continue to preserve for many more years to come.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, James Daniel & Glennie Daniel Lowe, and sister, Dell Sexton. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Charles Woodrow "Woody" Faulk; daughters, Michelle Moseley, Kimberly D. (Wesley) Boyd, and Tisha D. (Bradley) Eyl; grandchildren, Lauren Moseley, Logan Moseley, Cortlyn (Douglas) Boyd-Ludwig, Isabella Boyd, Sophia Kate Boyd, Amber (Jason) Danley, Justin Henderson, and Damien Henderson; great-grandchildren, Ashley McKenzie, Emma Kate Sasser, Braylon Sasser, Eddie Claire Sasser, and Loribeth Danley; sister, Edna (Windom) Sipper; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Wesley Boyd, Ronald McGough, Ollie Godwin Jr, Joey Godwin, Justin Henderson, and Damien Henderson.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the all of the doctors, nurses, and aides with SouthernCare Hospice of Greenville for their kind and loving care of Faye over the last several years. It meant everything in the world to her and her family.
