BROWN, Mrs. Florence Duncan, a long-time resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 after a long illness. Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 20, at Salem Church of Christ in Honoraville with Minister Charles Sipper officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Brown was born on March 17, 1927 to Moses D. and Callie T. Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Reginald Brown, sister, Valeria Blackwell, and four brothers, Derrick Duncan, Joe Duncan, Ashley Duncan, and Douglas Duncan. Mrs. Brown is survived by her two sons, Frank (Donna) Brown and Reggie (Valera) Brown, five grandchildren, April Thomas, Erik (Ashley) Brown, Alecia (Kevin) Ohnemus, Amber Breaud, and Mitch (Erin) Brown, several great-grandchildren, three brothers, Billy (Bettye) Duncan, Curtis (Joyce) Duncan, and James (Joyce) Duncan, and many devoted in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. Active pallbearers will be Mitch Brown, Kevin Ohnemus, Matthew Pouncey, Randall Brown, Gary Owens, and Jamie Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Church of Christ, 152 Faulk Road, Honoraville, Alabama 36042. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1 – 2pm.
