Ernest Foy Owen, 81, a resident of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 16th, 2025. Funeral services for Foy will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 23rd, at Davenport Church of Christ with Brother Jack Cates officiating. He will then be laid to rest beside his beloved wife in Sardis Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to the service.
He was not just a beloved husband to Betty, the love of his life for 59 years, but also a dedicated father who enjoyed spending time with his seven children.
Foy was a man of many interests whether it was fishing or working side by side with Betty in their beautiful garden. Their shared joy in gardening, providing a peaceful retreat where they could connect with nature and each other.
Professionally, Foy was a hardworking individual who thrived in various roles, including sales and as an entrepreneur. He was respected in his community for his integrity and strong work ethic. His good nature and wisdom made him a person many looked up to.
Moreover, Foy's spiritual devotion was evident in his role as an elder in the church. He dedicated his life to serving his church family, providing guidance and support to many. His faithfulness and humility were not just traits he possessed, but the very essence of who he was.
As we celebrate his life, let us cherish these memories and honor his legacy. Foy was truly a godly man whose life was a testament to love, kindness, and integrity.
Foy was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Owen, and parents, Ernest & Lavada Taylor Owen. He is survived by his children, Leshia Limbach, Mike Owen, Cindee Weddington, John Owen, Paul Owen, David Owen, and Jason Owen, sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
