Frances Grant Brownlee

BROWNLEE, Mrs. Frances Grant, 92, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 17, in Cameron Chapel Cemetery with Rev. John Maust officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Brownlee was preceded in death by two husbands, Venters H. Grant and Luther Lee Brownlee, granddaughter, Shannon Bethune, parents, Fernie and Sybil Franklin Taylor, sister, Dorothy Compton, and brother, George Taylor. She is survived by five children, Mark (Sylvia) Grant, Martha Grant, Ruby (Paul) Nichols, Joe (Phyllis) Grant, and Mary Ann (Danny) Robinson, four stepchildren, Verlensia (Jim) Pitts, Cynthia Hinson, Vader (Warren) Bayhi, and Peggy (Andy) Vadaro, twenty-three grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and four brothers, Oscar (Jean) Taylor, Travis Taylor, Sam (Nonnie) Taylor, and Truman (Susan) Taylor. Active pallbearers will be Grant Nichols, Rusty Harrison, Taylor Grant, Tyler Grant, Hagen Compton, and Lee Vadaro. Family and friends will meet in the cemetery on Tuesday at service time.
