Frances Wilson Hughes

HUGHES, Mrs. Frances Emma Wilson, 92, a resident of Glenwood, AL died Saturday, March 12, 2011. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11 AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Weeks and Rev. Bill Rhoads officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Hughes is preceded in death by her son, James Howard Hughes; her husband, Otis Henry Hughes; her parents, Tirus & Ethel King Wilson; two brothers, Olen Wilson and Eska Wilson; and her sister, Gwendolyn Wilson. She is survived by three children, Mary Hughes West, Elese Hughes (Tony) Vaccaro, and Wendell L. (Gail) Hughes; nine grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; her brother, Malcolm A. Wilson; a special friend, Dot Sims; and a host of nieces & nephews. Active pallbearers will be Matt Ward, Greg Hughes, Jeff Lance, Chris Helms, Clay Helms, and Nick Dawkins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Providence Cemetery or to one’s favorite charity. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5-7 pm.
