Frances Mae Mitchell Cornett

CORNETT, Mrs. Frances Mae Mitchell, 91, a resident of Brantley died Wednesday July 11, 2012. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday July 13, 2012 at the Brantley Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Cornett is preceded in death by her husband, Harris W. Cornett; infant son, Van Keefe Cornett; and her parents, Alex and Minnie Lee Mitchell. Survivors include three children, Barbara ( Sammy) Blackmon, Harris L. “ Buddy” (Camille) Cornett and Stan (Joan) Cornett; and seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be John Lemonte Blackmon, Mitchell Blackmon, Stanley Cornett, Edwin Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, Elton Mitchell, James Mitchell and Alex Cornett. The family will receive friends Friday at the Church for one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Brantley Baptist Church or to one’s favorite charity.
