HERMELING, Mr. Willie Fred, 74, a resident of Patsburg, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Hermeling will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, May 15, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Derek Sowell and Rev. Leon Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Hermeling proudly served with the United States Army and the Alabama National Guard for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hermeling; parents, Frank and Mattie Lou Hermeling; and two brothers, Edward Hermeling and David Hermeling. Mr. Hermeling is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gwen Hermeling; four children, Willie Fred Hermeling Jr, Belinda Ann (Kenny) Jones, Tammy Lynn (Quinn) Renfroe, and Lisa Marie (David) Cox; fourteen grandchildren, Blake Hermeling (Hillary Dean), Jessica Hermeling, Lillian Paige Hermeling, Micah Wallace, Haleigh (Brandon) Case, Justin (Alisa) Jones, Ryan Jones, Brandon Jones, Coleman Jones, Justin Renfroe, Hunter Renfroe, Nathan Renfroe, Connor Cox, and Mason Cox; two great-grandchildren, Ollie Jones and Brody Hermeling; and sister, Mildred Hermeling Motes. Active pallbearers will be Quinn Renfroe, Kenny Jones, David Cox, Chris Warr, Leon Hall, and Travis Colquett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 14, from 6 - 8pm.
