Fred R. Kelley

KELLEY, Mr. Fred R., 83, a resident of Highland Home, AL died Friday, April 6, 2012. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at 11 AM in Rocky Mount Cemetery with Rev. John D. MacLaren officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, John & Maude Kelley; four sisters, Ethel Daughtry, Ruth Henderson, Mattie Mae Catrett, and Rosalee Campbell; and three brothers, Leland Kelley, Lavon Kelley, and Arthur Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Martha Whatley Kelley; a brother, Cecil (Dean) Kelley; and special friend, Brenda Cauthen. Active pallbearers will be Bubba Stubbs, Harvey Askew, Charles Frost, Toby Pace, Lamar Nelson, and Jeffery Kelley. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Bobby Beasley and Bill Rue. The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home Monday morning from 9 – 10 am before departing for the cemetery.
