DEFEE, Mr. Gary Dale, 47, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 26, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Defee will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 30, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating and Rev. Richard Daniels delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Defee was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Defee; his brother, Michael Defee; and his grandparents, Vernon & Cuba Defee and Buddy & Jeanette Hall. He is survived by his four children, Brandon (Crystal) Defee, Jason (Tralyn) Defee, Brittney (Kyle) Jordan, and Nubby Defee; their mother, Rochelle Defee; ten grandchildren, Heidi, Tanner, Abbie, Greyson, Knox, Gunner, Gage, Oaklyn, Charlotte, and Aiden; his parents, Jimmy Wayne and Alice Hall Defee; two sisters, Lisa (Scott) Smith and Regina (Chuck) Gorey; and his fiancèe, Melanie Pope. Active pallbearers will be Chris Furr, Douglas Wayne Furr, Jared Hall, Wesley Hall, Johnthan Defee, Mike Jones, Michael Cole, and Buck Jones. The Luverne Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 - 2pm.
