Gene Alvin Baggett

BAGGETT, Mr. Gene Alvin, 69, a resident of Rutledge died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Funeral services will be 2PM Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Chapel Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Joe Bradley and Rev. Blu Braden officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Baggett is preceded in death by his parents, J. D. “Dock” & Era Bell Baggett and brother, Rogers Baggett. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Dora Baggett; five children, Jeff(Tamera) Baggett, Kimberl
y(Greg) Davis, Tammy(Bobby) Williamson, Kelly(Ray) Castillo and Timmy(Jennifer) Worley; eleven grandchildren, Cody Godwin, Brandon(Jessica) Boyett, Kimber(Justin) Sessions, Camerena Godwin, Alycia Baggett, Ray Castillo, Justin Williamson, Ashley Baggett, Sara Castillo, Samantha Castillo and Gant Worley; two great grandchildren, Justin Sessions, Jr. and Katelyn Ranta; three sisters, Vera Mae Daniels, Shirley Ann Watts and Mary Jane Hamm; and brother, Randy Baggett. Active pallbearers will be James Boyett, R.P. Burgans, Velpo Waldrope, Jr., Leonard Defee, R.T. Mount and Dusty Jordan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6pm until 8pm. Mr. Baggett will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
