George David Gainey

GAINEY, Mr. George David, 73, a resident of Luverne died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 25, 2013 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Gainey was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Nell Gainey, granddaughter, Jessica Gainey, and his great granddaughter, McKenzie Speigner. He is survived by two children, Phil Gainey and Dee (Eddy) Harris; three grandchildren, Allison, Tyler, and John Harris; one great grandson, Trey Pittman; nieces, Wendy (Mike) Spivey and Kelsey Spivey; sister, Jeanette (Billy) Compton; brother, Randy (Chrissy) Gainey; and special friend, Mary Alice Gainey. Active pallbearers were John Harris, Tyler Harris, Eddy Harris, Michael Spivey, Billy Compton, Randy Gainey, and Phil Gainey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1 pm until service time.
