George Alexander Pouncey

Mr. George Alexander Pouncey, 72, a resident of Andalusia, Alabama, passed away at Andalusia Health on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Mr. Pouncey thoroughly enjoyed being able to travel with his job as a truck driver in the timber business. In his free time, he loved to being outside either playing golf and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling from time to time. Above all, Mr. Pouncey was a dedicated family man who loved his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. They remember him fondly as a good, God-fearing man who was generous to a fault with everyone. Though they will miss him dearly, they will cherish all of the memories they made together over a lifetime.

Mr. Pouncey was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Ella Crowell Pouncey, and two siblings, Gwendolyn Henderson and Tommy Pouncey. He is survived by his children, Lora Lucas, Anthony Pouncey, and Nieamiah "Bubba" Pouncey; grandchildren, Alexandria (Cameron) Hooks, Anna Brooks, Cole Lucas, and Christopher William Owens; siblings, Lou King and Tula Reeves; and numerous nieces & nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later time.
