Gertrude Russell Dickerson

DICKERSON, Mrs. Gertrude Russell, 102, a resident of Milton, Florida and formerly of Rutledge and Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. Funeral services for Mrs. Dickerson will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 15, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with her grandsons, Paul Stuart Dickerson and Jeffrey Helms, delivering eulogies. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Dickerson lived a long, fruitful life as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worshipped her Lord at the Margaret Street Church of Christ in Milton. Mrs. Dickerson was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dickerson; their granddaughter, Jennifer Helms Fulk; and her parents, Albert and Mamie Sanders Russell. She is survived by her two children, Barbara (Billy) Helms and Paul (Ruth) Dickerson Jr; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Helms, Mandy (David) Green, Leila Airhart, Kimberly (Brandon) Turner, Paul Stuart Dickerson, and Sarah (Marcus) Caraway; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers will be Paul Stuart Dickerson, Jeffrey Helms, Brandon Turner, Seth Helms, Christian Fulk, and Caden Fulk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 - 11 AM.
