Glenda Harris Horne

Mrs. Glenda Harris Horne, 57, a resident of Lapine, Alabama, passed away at Jackson Hospital on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. A graveside service for Mrs. Horne will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 30th, in Panola Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Horn officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mrs. Horne dedicated her life to taking care of her family and made sure they grew up in a loving home. She was a devoted wife, mother, and “Mimi,” who always put them first in her life. She also enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends at the river, as well as shopping trips. On Saturdays in the fall, she could be found with her family cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Though her loved ones will miss her terribly, they take comfort in the fact that she is at peace with her Lord, and they will cherish all of the glorious memories they made with her over the years.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Harris; stepfather, Willie Heartsill; and sister, Patricia Ann Harris. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Randy Horne; their two children, Dusty (Danielle) Horne and Brandy Horne (Jonathan) Pace; three grandchildren, Bristol Sampley, Temperance Pace, and John Carter Pace; her mother, Shirley Ammons Heartsill; and two brothers, Terry (Allison) Harris & Tracy (Shayne) Harris.

Active pallbearers will be Mikie Olive, Bryan Harris, Dillon Harris, Chris Ward, Kenny Horne, and Mickey Horne.
