Glenda Ann Link

July 17, 1958 — October 19, 2025

Glenda Ann Link, 67, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, October 19th, 2025, while surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Glenda will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 24th, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Brother Jason Simmons officiating. Interment will then follow in Spring Creek Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, October 23rd, from 6 to 8 PM. Glenda will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service on Friday.

Glenda was the epitome of saving grace. Loved throughout her entire community, everyone knew her door was always open to the hungry, downtrodden, and anyone else in need of food and/or shelter. She raised far more children than the three she gave birth to, and changed many lives while doing so. Not only did her family learn the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need and without judgment, but every person who benefited from her heart that was the size of Texas also learned just how meaningful the golden rule of doing unto others was in this cold, often cruel world. That being said, ain't anybody said that gigantic heart made her a pushover! Oh no, Glenda was a spitfire as well with her strong-willed and outgoing personality, but it was critical that she always proceeded in love in everything she did. Well, maybe except for when she was cheering on her beloved Crimson Tide to victory against their rivals!

In her free time, Glenda loved tending to her beautiful flowers around the house as well as the weekends spent watching Alabama Football and/or NASCAR with her cherished family and friends. After all, she knew that there is no greater treasure on this earth than the family and friends who made it worth living. She enjoyed catching up with her friends when they all had the time, but the thing she loved the very most was the quality time spent with the family she loved so fiercely with her whole heart. They certainly thrived in the sunshine of her love throughout the years, especially the ones who gave her the best name on the planet, "GranGran." Above all, Glenda was always a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love that most definitely has made the world a better place.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, William MacCallum & Rosa Bell Lee, and brother, Christopher James Thompson. She is survived by her beloved partner of 26 years, Russell Brook; children, Annette (Ron) Sumner, Jamie Brook, and Gabrielle (Wesley) Finkley; grandchildren, Gregory (Kate) Kyer, Olivia Sumner, Jacob Reynolds, Lynleigh Reynolds, and one more baby girl on the way; great-granddaughter, Eliza Kate Kyer; siblings, Louie Thompson and Peggy Kendrick; sister-in-law, Janet Williams; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Active pallbearers will be Wesley Finkley, Carl Moseley, Austin Moseley, David Moseley, Bud Meek, and Preston Parrish.
