Glenn Boyd Handley, Sr.

HANDLEY, Mr. Glenn Boyd, Sr., 86, a resident of Luverne died Monday June 14, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday June 16, 2010 at the Luverne First Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Burns and Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in the Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Handley is preceded in death by a son, William Nix Handley; parents, W.B. and Lucille Handley; his sister, Katherine Handley Jamison; and a brother, W.T. Handley. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Hawkins Handley; one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Boyd and Carey Handley, Jr.; two grandchildren, Bedford Nix Handley and Caytlin Cydnie Handley. The body will lie-in-state at the church for 30 minutes prior to service time. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Luverne First Baptist Church, the Emmaus Cemetery Fund or Crenshaw Christian Academy.
