GRAYDON, Mrs. Glennie Pearl Simpler, 93, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017. Funeral services for Mrs. Graydon will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 7, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Dr. Sam Tate officiating. Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Graydon was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie F. Graydon, daughter, Carolyn Graydon Walker, parents, Chester and Julia Bryant Simpler, two sisters, Loyce Simpler Jordan and Annie Mae Simpler Jordan, and four brothers, George Simpler, Alcus Simpler, Sonny Simpler, and Ralph Simpler. She is survived by her four children, Thomas Graydon, Ruby (James) Alford, Glenda (Jimmy) Campbell, and Betty (Charles) Duncan, son-in-law, Warren Walker, ten grandchildren, Vickie (Justin) Hulsey, Jeff (Chasity) Alford, Kadee (Michael) Close, Lisa (Chad) Turner, Jimbo (Leanne) Campbell, Chuck Campbell, Shay (Jason) Jones, Todd (Jenny) Duncan, Heather Walker Reaves, and Hope (Brad) Ward, fifteen great-grandchildren, and sister, Etoile Simpler Norsworthy. Active pallbearers will be Jimbo Campbell, Justin Hulsey, Todd Duncan, Jeff Alford, Jason Jones, and Michael Close. Honorary pallbearers will be Brody Campbell and Kayden Campbell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 – 2 PM.
