Grace Myers Wingard

WINGARD, Mrs. Grace Myers, 84, a resident of Grady passed away Sunday September 26, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday September 28, 2010 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Lisenby and Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating. Interment will follow in Helicon Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Wingard was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Wingard, Sr.; her parents, Oliver and Annie Jordan Myers; and her brother, William F. Myers. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Pat Wingard; two loving granddaughters, Nicki (Ray) Barber and Jessica (Neal) Hinton; four great grandchildren, Sara Grace Johnson, Ray Barber, Jr., Josh and Taylor Hinton; sister-in-law, Myra Myers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Active pallbearers will be David Griffin, George Browder, Jeff Myers, Jerry Myers, Joe Lansdon and John Lansdon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Lansdon and the Crenshaw County ALFA Farmers Federation Board of Directors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6pm until 8pm.
