Henry Louis Brown

BROWN, Mr. Henry Louis, 87, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at New Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Brown was an avid guitar player and once played in a band with country music legend Hank Williams, Sr. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Brown, and his parents, Virgil and Ila Brown. He is survived by his wife, Ruby J. Brown; three sons, Larry (Virginia) Brown, Gary (Jo Ann) Brown, and Cary Scott (Linda) Brown; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1pm until service time.
