Henry Lavon Mobley

Mr. Henry Lavon Mobley, 77, a resident of Luverne, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. A graveside service for Mr. Mobley will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 28th, in Luverne Emmaus Cemetery with Rev. Harry Driggers officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Mr. Mobley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He worked most of his life as a mechanic in textile factories, so he was quite skilled with his hands when it came to machines. In his free time, he enjoyed deer hunting with his grandson, cheering on the Crimson Tide Football Team, and watching any Western he could find. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandsons and great-grandchildren. He will sorely be missed by all those he leaves behind.

Mr. Mobley was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Kelly Mobley, and his parents, Brady & Ruby Bullard Mobley. He is survived by his three children, Daniel Mobley, Karen Renee Mobley (Scott) Thierfelder, and Brady Lavon Mobley; three grandsons, Seth Thierfelder, Ethan (Kelly) Thierfelder, and Lance Thierfelder; two great-grandchildren, Roslyn & Bennett Thierfelder; and six siblings, Lawrence Mobley, Lee (Nellie) Mobley, Lloyd (Larvis) Mobley, Merle (James) Sanders, Lemuel Mobley, and Rosie L. Greathouse.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Mobley, Seth Thierfelder, Ethan Thierfelder, Lance Thierfelder, Scott Thierfelder, and Steve Defee. Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.
