Henry Edward Nichols

NICHOLS, Mr. Henry Edward, 86, a resident of Luverne, died Thursday, November 27, 2014. Funeral services will be held at Turner Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11 AM with Rev. Bob Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin Taunton; his parents, John and Cumi Nichols; his sister, Estelle Ellison; and his three brothers, Porter Nichols, Ralph Nichols, and Darwin Nichols. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Nichols; two children, John A. (Liz) Nichols and Jeanne N. (Greg) Taunton; six grandchildren, Watson (Raven) Nichols, Levi (Holly) Nichols, Ethan Taunton, Tracy (Deonne) Flowers, Jess (Cheryl) Flowers, and Roger (Paige) Phoenix; four great grandchildren, Sailor Margaret Nichols, Jack Henry Nichols, Tyler Flowers, and Madison Flowers. His grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Guy Edwards, Tom Russell, Phillip Moore, and Barnett King. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 9:30 until service time.
