Dozier

Mr. Henry Earl “Doc” Sasser, a resident of Dozier, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Funeral services for Mr. Sasser will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, April 11, at Word of Faith in Brantley, Alabama with Rev. Keith Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Doc was a beloved figure in his community who brought a great deal of joy to all those who knew him. He was an avid fisherman, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sorely missed by both his family and the community he loved.

Mr. Sasser was preceded in death by his parents, Chapman Chapel and Annie Bell Caples Sasser, and five siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Myrinez Walker Sasser; their three children, Henry Ken (Brandy) Sasser, Amy Sasser (Paul) Burgans, and Angela Sasser (Brian) Burgans; eight grandchildren, Lindsay Sasser, Charity Burgans, Amber Burgans, Trinity Burgans, Olivia Burgans, Ian Burgans, Cole (Nicolette) Burgans, and Isabella Burgans (Blake) Flowers; and three siblings, Audrey Flowers, Winston Sasser, and H.J. Sasser.

The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1 - 2pm.
