OWENS, Mr. Hense, 84, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Owens will be held at 2 PM on Monday, November 26, at Union Baptist Church in Honoraville, Alabama with Rev. Malcolm Butts and Rev. Melton Sexton officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Creek Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Owens proudly served his country with the United States Army. Later, he was the owner of Owens TV Service in Greenville for many years, and he retired from the Greenville Parks and Recreation department. Mr. Owens was a dedicated member of the Union Baptist Church, and devoted to taking care of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coley and Minnie Bell Owens; five sisters, Ersie Bell Mosley, Opal Sexton, Myrtle Cauthen, Merle Bell, and Nellie R. Williamson; and his brother, Clyde Owens. Mr. Owens is survived by his brother, Nelson Owens, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be David Sexton, Tommy Butts, Randy White, Randy Beasley, Joe Leverette, and Travis Weeks. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Union Baptist Church, 69 Post Office Loop, Honoraville, Alabama 36042. They will receive friends at the church on Monday from 1 - 2pm.
