Hershel Wayne Norsworthy, Sr.

NORSWORTHY, Mr. Hershel Wayne, Sr., 85, a resident of Glenwood died Wednesday November 27, 2013. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday November 29, 2013 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Norsworthy is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Catherine Norsworthy; his father, Grover Norsworthy; mother, Nelia Norsworthy Sipper; step-father, Henry Sipper; and three brothers, Willis H. Norsworthy, Edgar Sipper, and Harold Sipper. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Etoile Simpler Norsworthy; four children, Linda Norsworthy, Norma (Jimmy) McGinney, Julia Phillips, and Hershel Wayne ( Marilyn) Norsworthy, Jr.; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Pat Sipper. Active pallbearers will be Scott Stricklin, Stephen Stricklin, Bryan Stricklin, Elliott Jones, Rick Thomas and George Sellers. The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 12:30pm until service time.
