Howard Warren Wilkes

WILKES, Mr. Howard Warren, 87, a resident of Highland Home, AL died Saturday, August 3, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, August 5, 2013 from Salem Church of Christ with ministers Larry Brady and Charles Sipper officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Wilkes is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Evie Boutwell Wilkes; three sisters, Maybelle Krass, Annette Ayers, and Emma Petty; and four brothers, William Wilkes, Symore Wilkes, Frank Wilkes, and Connie Wilkes. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary O. Wilkes; three children, Teresa (Eddie) Moseley, Paula (Ray) McCullough, and Dwayne (Melinda) Wilkes; five grandchildren, Tracy (Jan) Jordan, Derek (Shae) McCullough, Shaun (Robin) Wilkes, Maranda (Kevin) Braswell, and Sabrina (Morgan) Lee; and twelve great grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be David Dunn, Gary Owens, Tyler Jordan, Taylor Jordan, Paul Krass, and Tommy Krass. The family will receive friends at the Church Monday afternoon from 1 pm until service time.
