Ida Belle Moon Carnes

CARNES, Mrs. Ida Belle Moon, 89, a resident of Brantley died Thursday December 16, 2010. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday December 18, 2010 from Brantley United Methodist Church with Rev. Marquis Wingard officiating. Interment will follow in Brantley Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mrs. Carnes is preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Carnes; her parents, William Vinson and Irma Idonia Roberson Moon; and a brother, John Comer Moon. Survivors include two children, Donna M. Carnes of Brantley and Rickey (Debbie) Carnes of Monroeville; three granddaughters, Lindsay (Matt) Harden, Kimberly and Hayley Carnes; great granddaughter, Avery Grace Harden; two brothers, Dr. Bill (Carolyn) Moon and Bobby (Joan) Moon; sister-in-law, Louise Moon; and an aunt, Mary V. Sasser. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Brantley United Methodist Church.
