Iley Paul Sims

SIMS, Mr. Iley Paul, 74, a resident of Luverne died Wednesday August 18, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday August 21, 2010 at the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Crowe officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Sims is preceded in death by a wife, Nancy Taylor Sims; his parents, Frank and Ophelia Sims; three sisters, Mattie Graham, Alice Norris and Sybil Watson; and four brothers, Milford, Lester, Jacob and Mixon Sims. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Peggy Rushing Sims; a son, Tony (Martha) Sims; two step-children, Tim (Randy) Davis and Sharon Davis Layton; six grandchildren, Jessica (Garvin) Choice, Staci (Joe) Hutto, Kara Layton, Davis Layton, Rachael Moore and Lewis Moore; two sisters, Eva Basile and Minerva Rererich. Active pallbearers will be Gary Johnson, Mike Sims, Ricky Sims, Frankie Sims, Bo Boyd and Kenny Davis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 am until service time.
