Ina Jean Brown

Ina Jean Sanders Brown, 66, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Crowne Healthcare of Greenville on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023. A graveside service for Ina will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 29th, with Rev. Chuck Francisco officiating and Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Family and friends will meet in the cemetery at the service time.

Ina proved her resilience and fortitude with every sling and arrow life threw her way, and served as a remarkable example for all who knew her when it came to dealing with the vagaries of this life. She was also a shining example of how to treat your fellow man as she had a big, open, and generous heart with everyone she met. Ina did love to shop, and likely had the map of her closest Wal-Mart memorized! Her door was always open to all those she loved when she was cooking, and she had plenty of takers when she had fried chicken and cabbage on the menu. Above all, she loved her family with all of her heart and they loved her back just as much.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents, Shorty & Willie Grace Beasley Sanders, and siblings, Joyce Burgans, Betty Parker, Robert Lee Sanders, and Larry Sanders. She is survived by her beloved son, Raymond Derek Brown; siblings, Curtis Sanders, Willie (Sandy) Sanders, Mary Helen Sanders, and Janice Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
