MORGAN, Mr. J. B., age 93, a resident of Brantley, Alabama died Thursday, July 18, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, July 19, 2013 from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Elbert Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Bullock Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Morgan; two sons, John Glen Morgan and Jimmy Ray Morgan; his parents, John and Mertie Smith Morgan; three sisters, Alice Hudson, Voy Wiggins, and Johnie Morgan; and three brothers, Dexter Morgan, Huey Morgan, and Cellus Morgan. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lena Messick Morgan; two sons, Robert (Nell) Morgan and Eddie (Bernie) Morgan; step-son, Fred Kelley; two special daughter-in-laws, Penny Morgan Perdue and Maxine Morgan Linzy; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and his brother, Lewis (Claudine) Morgan. Active pallbearers will be Jace Morgan, Jon Morgan, Troy Hollinghead, Jonathan Morgan, Jody Morgan, and Mike Edgar. The family will receive friends at the funeral home friday afternoon from 1 pm until service time. Any memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
