DAVIS, Mr. Jack Douglas, 75, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 11, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Parker Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Davis spent many years as an economics professor at Jefferson State Community College in Brewton, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Sallie Maude Cook Davis, two sisters, Caroline Russell and Margaret Robinson, and two brothers, Bill Davis and James Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by six nieces, Suzanne Williams, Beverly Davis, LeAnne Bull, Rachel McIntyre, Annette Stainback, and Ginger Minton; three nephews, Tommy Russell, Johnny Robinson, and William Davis; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Active pallbearers will be his nephews and great-nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 - 11 AM.
