Jacob "Jake" James Allen Compton

COMPTON, Mr. Jacob “Jake” James Allen, 14, a resident of Brantley, Alabama, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Funeral services for Jake will be held at 2 PM on Friday, January 19, from the Chapel of Turners Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Defee officiating. Interment will follow in Weedville Cemetery with Turners Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Jake was a very loving child, always smiling, and enjoying his life to the fullest. He took the most pleasure in the simple things, like being outdoors to hunt and fish. He also loved, playing basketball, spending time with his friends, and playing video games. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sonya Stanford Compton. He is survived by his father, Eric (Jeanne) Compton, grandparents, Jimmy and Patricia Compton, Cheryl (Ronny) Matthews, and Stanley Stanford, 3 brothers, Ryan Thomas Paul Compton, Seth Richard Daniels, and Levi Mann Daniels, three aunts, Tracy (A.J.) Navarre, Brittany Compton, and BetteAnn Stanford, uncle, Junior Stanford, and numerous loving cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 18, from 6 – 8pm.
