James Anderson Duncan

DUNCAN, Mr. James Anderson, 69, a resident of Brantley died Monday June 7, 2010. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Wednesday June 9, 2010 at the Brantley Baptist Church with Rev. Tia Compton and Rev. Mitch Mares officiating. Interment followed in Providence Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Duncan is preceded in death by a son, Dave A. Duncan; his father, George A. Duncan; and his mother, Mattie Oglesby Gibson. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Olene Horn Duncan; three children, Johnny (Angelia) Duncan, Amanda Duncan ( Kenneth Rawlinson) and Tiffany Stevens; one daughter-in-law, Melissa Brown Duncan; eight grandchildren, Marley Duncan, Mia Clark, Deyland “Bubba” Clark, Jaymie “J.J.” Duncan, Chloe “ Clo Clo” Duncan, Beckah Duncan, Kendale “ Little Man” Duncan and Kenneth “ Big Man “ Duncan; sister, Willie Ann Golden; and three brothers, Billy Gibson, Tommy Gibson and Paul Gibson. Active pallbearers were Henry Durden, Kenneth Rawlinson, Lamar Chandler, Danny Killingsworth, Randell Glober and Derek Hughes.
