James Clifton Holladay

HOLLADAY, Mr. Clifton “Chippy”, 92, a resident of Luverne, AL died Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Leverette officiating. Interment will follow in Emmaus Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.
Mr. Holladay was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Golden Holladay; parents, George and Louise Holladay; sister, Inez Golden; five brothers, Henry, Joe, Hubert, Roy and Glen Holladay; grandson, Robert David McLaney. He is survived by two daughters, Betty Sue McLaney of Pensacola, FL and Ella Kate Holladay of Luverne, AL; two grandchildren, Debra Lambert of Pensacola, FL and Charles Michael McLaney of Marietta, GA; five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mattie Lou Patterson of Tuscaloosa, AL and Annie Mae Davis of Luverne, AL; also
several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Charles Michael McLaney, Christopher McLaney, Robert McLaney, II, Andrew Lambert, Gary Brown and Jordan Brown. The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home Friday evening
from 6 –8pm.
