James David Miller

James "Jim" David Miller, 60, a resident of Highland Home, Alabama, passed away at Flowers Hospital in Dothan on Friday, August 1st, 2025. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later time.

Jim was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He especially loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren as they created memories they will treasure forever. Jim also enjoyed coon-hunting, racing, and, in recent years, a love of raising chickens. His greatest joy was always being surrounded by his loved ones, and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of love, laughter, and devotion.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey "JD" & Nancy Kate Brackins Miller, and siblings, Joanne (Frank) Anderson and George Brackins. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cathy Miller; children, Tiffany Miller, JC (Kristin) Ogle, Whitney (Markie) Croy, Libbie (Tyler) Hobbs, Arthur (Tiffany) Cogdill, Tonya (Michael) Ivey; grandchildren, Justice, Samuel, Elijah, Alec, Asher, Liam, Brooklynn, Emilee, Alexis, Akeyla, Aliyah, and Akiyra; great-grandchildren, Ophelia & Paisley; siblings, Gary (Patricia) Brackins, Jerry (Liz) Shults, Tracy (David) McGill, Candy (Jerry) Brown, Tammy (Jim Drinnon) Miller, and Cathy (Scott) Douglas; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
