James Edward Stephenson

STEPHENSON, Mr. James Edward, age 74, a resident of Honoraville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the cemetery of Mt. Zion Methodist Church (The Lodge) with Rev. Mike Moses officiating and Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Stephenson was a quiet man of strong faith, with a great attitude, who believed deeply in the power of prayer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Walton Stephenson; parents, Dozier and Leola Haws Stephenson; son, Edward Jackson Stephenson; five sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by his three children, Rebecca Lynn Stephenson, Michael Anthony Stephenson, and Jeanette Lee (Robbie) Shriver; two grandchildren, Justin Robert Pezza and Morgan Lee Shriver; one great-grandchild, Adyn Hollowell; and two sisters, Frances Phillips and Ellen Massey. Active pallbearers will be Michael Stephenson, Robbie Shriver, Justin Pezza, Jimmy Phillips, Donald Olive, and Mike Olive. The family will receive friends at Turner Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30-1:30pm.
