James Delbert Tidwell

TIDWELL, Mr. James D., 71, a resident of Highland Home, AL, died Sunday, May 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11 AM from Turner Funeral Home Chapel with minister Jimmy Mathews officiating. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Mr. Tidwell was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Whatley; his parents, Cecil and Edna Tidwell; and two brothers, William Tidwell and Cecil F. Tidwell. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan Parham Tidwell; his daughter, Sharon (David) Watts; two grandchildren, Alex and Abby Watts; and two sisters, Martha Martinez and Edna Smith. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald White, Bubba Taylor, Ray Kiser, Wayne Wilson, Alvin Sexton, and Cline Tidwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 9:30 am until service time.
