James Kenneth Tucker

July 11, 1964 — September 2, 2021

Ramer

Mr. James Kenneth Tucker, 57, a lifetime resident of Ramer, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Jackson Hospital after a long battle with Covid-19 on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Mr. Tucker worked hard for the Montgomery County Commission in their highway department for 26 years until his retirement. He was one of the most generous people you could ever meet, making him an awesome neighbor because he always made himself available to help anyone with whatever they needed. In his free time, he loved being outside and living off of the land, including a lot of fishing and hunting. He was always inventive and resourceful in everything he did. He also loved to cook and often helped prepare for fellowship meals anytime he could. He was a faithful member of the Grady Church of Christ, where he loved spending time with his church family. In fact, he was so passionate in his love of the Lord that he was a regular at area fellowships with other churches. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, brother, and uncle who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He was a light in the lives of all those he touched, and will never know all of the ways he mattered to so many people. He will be sorely missed, but his family is comforted by the knowledge that he is happy and loved in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents, James Emory & Buelah Watkins Tucker, and sister, Rosemary Tucker. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sherry Hassey Tucker; their sons, Rhett Tucker, Carson Tucker, and Garrett Tucker; siblings, Bob (Sandy) Tucker, Jeff Tucker, and Aimee (Rob) Jinright; his parents-in-law, Harry & Joan Hassey; brother-in-law, Herbert (Nikki) Hassey; uncles, Randall (Gayle) Tucker and Albert (Charlotte) Watkins; and nieces & nephews, Kelly (Kyle) Norman, Sarah Dicks, Ryan (Melissa) Morrow, Jeffrey (Amber) Tucker, Joseph (Rachel) Tucker, Jessica Tucker, and Charlie Hassey.

In accordance with Mr. Tucker's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
